Day 1: Arrival in Ulaanbaatar and Journey to the Steppe – Genghis Khan’s Birthplace (450 km)

Your tour begins upon arrival at the airport, where you will be greeted by your guide and driver. Without delay, we will depart Ulaanbaatar for the vast steppes of Khentii Province, the recorded birthplace of Genghis Khan. Enjoy a packed lunch en route. After approximately six hours, we will arrive in Chinggis City and visit the informative Provincial Museum. Continue for another hour to the Steppe Horse Camp, your home for the next few nights. Settle into your ger, enjoy a hearty dinner, and take a short evening walk to breathe in the serene steppe air.

Day 2: Introduction to Nomadic Equestrian Life (25 km)

Following breakfast, receive a comprehensive safety briefing and introductory riding lesson. Embark on a short practice ride to get accustomed to your horse. Visit the memorial complex at the historic meeting site of Genghis Khan and his loyal friend, Bo’orchi. Then, learn the traditional techniques of tethering horses at a local herder’s family. Return to camp for lunch. The afternoon is dedicated to preparing for the upcoming journey: checking saddlery and equipment. Participate in the evening milking of mares. After dinner, enjoy a relaxing short ride under the vast steppe sky.

Day 3: Deep Immersion – The Herder’s Dawn (20 km)

Wake early at 5:00 AM to join the local horse herders on horseback for the daily round-up of over 300 horses from the open pasture. This ancient ritual, performed before the heat of the day, is vital for the animals' health. It is also a perfect opportunity to bond with your horse and build confidence. Return to camp for a well-deserved breakfast and some rest. Later, visit the sheep pasture to assist the herders with counting the flock. In the evening, gather around a campfire for stargazing in the incredibly clear night sky.

Day 4. Horseback Expedition Begins – To Bayan-Adarga (50 km)

After breakfast, begin your multi-day horseback expedition towards Bayan-Adarga Sum, known as the "land of ancient Mongolian noblewomen." The ride is supported by guides, spare horses, and a backup vehicle. Enjoy a picnic lunch by a nomadic family’s ger along the way. In the evening, set up camp in field tents, experiencing the true nomadic lifestyle.

Day 5: Riding Through History – Nomads and Ancient Tombs (50 km)

Continue your ride across the steppe. Visit a nomadic family renowned for owning one of the largest herds in the district. Afterwards, explore the archaeological site of Duurlig Nars, where over 200 Xiongnu-era tombs (dating back over 2,000 years) were excavated. This site offers a profound connection to one of Mongolia's earliest empires. Overnight in local accommodation.

Day 6: Onon River & the Great Mongol Empire (50 km)

Visit a local museum dedicated to the noblewomen of the region. Then, follow the beautiful Onon River to the "Ikh Khuraldai" Complex, built at the site where the Great Mongol Empire was founded in 1206. After lunch, experience the unique culture of the Buriad people, known for their semi-settled lifestyle. Check into a tourist camp for a comfortable overnight stay.

Day 7: Rest and Countryside Naadam (50 km)

After breakfast, we will bid farewell to the horseback riding support team. Following that, we will visit the scenic surroundings, including the Pine Corridor and the beautiful Yargui Gorge on the Onon River. Afterwards, we will attend a Local Sum (District), an authentic Naadam Festival.

At the festival grounds, you will witness the opening ceremony and watch as the 6-year-old horses race in succession. You will also see the wrestling competition featuring 32 wrestlers. This is a unique opportunity to respectfully observe, from up close, the fascinating tradition of how nomadic Mongolians gather from across the steppe to celebrate and compete.

Day 8: Return to Civilization – Terelj National Park (450 km)

Drive back towards Ulaanbaatar, arriving at a tourist camp near the picturesque Terelj National Park. The drive takes approximately 6 hours. On the way, we will see the towering equestrian statue of Chinggis Khaan. Settle in and enjoy the stunning granite rock formations and lush valleys. Overnight at the camp.

Day 9: Journey to the Land of Colors – Tsagaan Suvarga (White Stupa) (360km)

Today, we venture deeper into the unique landscapes of the Gobi, visiting two contrasting yet equally mesmerizing geological wonders. Journey to Tsagaan Suvarga, a breathtaking 30-meter high limestone cliff formation that resembles an ancient stupa. This former seabed offers stunning panoramic views. Explore the area and later, check into a local guesthouse. Dinner will feature a taste of camel meat.

Day 10: Yol Valley (Yolyn Am) – Ice Canyon of the Gobi (260 km)

Drive to Gobi Gurvan Saikhan National Park. Hike through the deep and narrow gorge of Yol Valley (Yolyn Am), a haven for rare plants and birds. Even in summer, you can often see remnants of ice in the shaded canyon. Visit the local natural history museum at the park entrance. Overnight at a tourist lodge.

Day 11: Bayanzag – The Flaming Cliffs (100 km)

Journey to Bayanzag, the world-famous Flaming Cliffs, named by American paleontologist Roy Chapman Andrews in the 1920s. This red sandstone landscape is renowned for the first discovery of dinosaur eggs and numerous dinosaur fossils. Walk in the footsteps of explorers and enjoy a spectacular sunset over the cliffs. Overnight at a ger camp.

Day 12: Ongi Monastery – Monastery in the Desert (200 km)

Drive to the ruins of Ongi Monastery, a complex that was once one of Mongolia's largest Buddhist monasteries. Its location marks a historical midpoint between the Gobi and Karakorum. The serene atmosphere against the desert backdrop is poignant. Overnight in a local guesthouse. (Meals: Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner)

Day 13: Karakorum – Ancient Capital of the Mongol Empire (240 km)

Travel to the symbolic heart of the Mongol Empire: Karakorum. Founded by Genghis Khan in 1220, it was a flourishing crossroads of the Silk Road. Explore the Erdene Zuu Monastery, Mongolia's first Buddhist monastery, built in 1586 using materials from the ruins of the ancient city. The monastery walls are surrounded by 108 stupas. Overnight at a ger camp.

Day 14: Return to Ulaanbaatar & Departure (400 km)

After breakfast, begin the drive back to Ulaanbaatar. Stop for lunch en route. Upon arrival, you will be transferred to your hotel or directly to the airport for your international departure, marking the end of your unforgettable Mongolian adventure.
